Staying On Track

I haven't been feeling to well. Fighting off a cold or something worse is very tiring, my temperature has been hovering at the 100 degree mark, but my mom always told me a fever is higher then 100 so I perservere and plug on.

Congrats to Betzi who was chosen by the random number generator as the winner of the Bloggy giveaway. Betzi please email me as thrifty.girl@gmail.com asap if I don't hear from you by Friday I'll have to pick another winner.

I was quite productive this weekend knitting away at many UFO's despite my urge to knit something new. Okay I'm lying a bit I knit something new too, but it was a small project and I wanted to use up some stash yarn (which I should get bonus points for.) First up is this:
P1010007-3
Pattern: Danica from Knitty Winter 2005
Yarn: Patons SWS (4 skeins)
Needles: US 9
P1010006-3
Notes: This pattern was fun at first but after my millionth repeat of entrelac I started to feel my teeth itch from boredom. I put this sucker down for almost a month then picked it up as a pact to finish UFO's. I then figured this would be a great opportunity to knit backwards, since the constant turning of the work was making me batty. I can now knit lefty in continental style and righty in english style. So all in all I got something good out of this project. I was planning on the Lady Eleanore Stole but I think Danica cured me. The Patons SWS has a lovely sheen and feels nice to work with, but it can get a bit splitty. It was great to be able to spit splice my ends together so no weaving necessary. The final product is itchier then I thought it would be since the yarn itself didn't feel scratchy. But live and learn, now I just have to figure out who I'm gonna give it to.
P1010008
(Oh lookie at my sassy hands on hip pose, I'm sooooo cool!)

I also in a fit of boredom cast on a hat.
P1010005-3
Patten: Official Kittyville Hat
Yarn: Lambs Pride Worsted (1/2 skein tan & 1/2 skein brown)
Needles: US 6 for seed stitch and US 7 for the rest of the hat
P1010004
Notes: Left off the ear flaps and pom-poms. I figure I'll look stupid enough traipsing around manhattan in kitty ears (two guys at work have already made fun of me, but I think they secretly like it) ear flaps with huge pom-poms would be like wearing an "I'm a mentally defecient person" sign.

I can't get blogger to check my spelling and I can't spell for shit so I apologize if this post is making your eyes bleed.

P.S. Yay Giants! It was a boring game until the 4th quarter, good thing I spent most of the first three quarters watching the Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet.
